About Us

Brian has worked in risk management since 1992. Much of his working life has been with the UK’s largest insurer, Aviva, initially as a risk surveyor, and then as a health and safety consultant and trainer, assisting both Aviva insured as well as non Aviva insured clients to manage their property and health and safety risks. This ranged from SME’s to large multi-national companies across a very wide and diverse range of industries.

In 2013, Brian moved to manage RiskSTOP Health and Safety Ltd, to help establish a new health and safety consultancy business. He continues to work for RiskSTOP on an associate basis.

In January 2015, Brian established Braeside Safety Ltd, in order to provide consultancy and training services to companies of all sizes across the central belt of Scotland and beyond.

He is also ideally placed, due to his insurance industry background, to assist clients with the completion of insurer risk requirements, such as the development of safety systems, completion of policies, and risk assessments.

He also delivers accredited courses such as NEBOSH and IOSH on an associate basis for some of the largest training providers, both in the UK and abroad. He is also a NEBOSH examiner.

He is also ideally placed to develop and deliver short courses and seminars to customer requirements on a wide range of health and safety topics.
